Accudyne Systems, Inc. machine, designed, engineered and
developed in callaboration with our customer, performs
a battery of tests on disks of material and sorts them
based on test results.
The disks are of various sizes and a standard thickness.
They are supplied in two cassettes with approximately
200 disks per cassette. Each cassette is positioned
over an elevator that keeps the top of the stack at
a fixed position. Disks are unloaded and placed on a
conveyor belt where they pass though a series of tests.
The disks are then ranked and loaded into one of five
receiving cassettes based on their rank. The receiving
cassettes also have elevators so that loading is done
at a fixed position.
Throughput rates of over 1500 disks per hour have been achieved in production.
