| Accudyne Systems, Inc. can integrate unwind and rewind systems into a variety of web-processing applications. We also have experience and technology for the high-speed unwind and rewind of materials, such as lithium foil, that must be handled at low-tension levels. We have embedded active and passive braking and tension control into unwind stands. For rewinds, we have implemented servomotor drive center winders, active tension regulation, and edge alignment sensors. We have technology for implementing active, load-cell-based, tension-feedback systems and dancer-based tension regulation. Both systems have advantages and disadvantages depending on the web speed, material stiffness, and expected process accelerations, decelerations, and speed excursions.
Accudyne is adept at configuring basic and low-cost unwind/rewind systems for R&D and prototype manufacturing environments. We can also assemble systems for the most demanding applications.
