Accudyne's team designed and fabricated a multi-function, lithium wind-up that integrates with an existing extrusion press to speed processing of lithium for the battery industry. The unit included the ability to laminate and co-wind multiple copper foils. Other features were edge alignment, void detection, width measurement, and rewind capability.

The wind-up system has operated several years in a dry-room, lithium-processing facility. Requiring minimal operator input, the unit is fully controlled from a touch screen with full diagnostics.

To protect the wide array of processors, sensors, and devices in the electrostatic discharge-prone environment, our engineers developed special grounding and equipment protection procedures. Our efforts have led to long-term success.
